I’ve always wanted to do a family’s portrait at a grocery store, so when the Guajardos suggested Wal Mart for their shoot, I was thrilled. Ok, ok, this location is not for everyone, but for this fun, quirky family it was perfect. As I left the house at 9 pm to go shoot this session, I asked my husband if he would come bail me out of jail if I got arrested. I have read stories online of photographers who had been kicked out of Wal Mart stores for taking pictures there. Well, not only did I not get arrested, no one even questioned us and we were shooting for an hour and a half! Good job family! This was one of my favorite session (and families) yet!
I’m getting ready for the new year and thankful for the one we’re ushering out. My business has grown, my kids have grown, and the outlook is bright. I thank the Lord everyday for the blessings in my life and I pray for the wisdom to learn how to manage those blessings. Thanks to all my clients this year. Thanks to my beautiful family for supporting me. Thank you, God, for giving me this life.
Beautiful, strong, bad ass woman and a necklace with a story. Thanks for the shoot, Scout. You rock.
Jamie and I went out today searching for new and improved locations for our photography businesses. We were thrilled to find this field of flowers and vegetables, sans “NO TRESPASSING” sign! We were also thrilled to have 80 deg. weather!
We’re savoring the last few beautiful NM days here in Albuquerque. This is still barefoot weather and we’re thrilled. My little one loves me to keep her toes painted and I’m happy to oblige her. After all, how much longer will she settle for a mommy pedicure?

A great senior shoot in the alleys of downtown Albuquerque.

It’s that time of the year! Time to schedule your high school or college senior portraits! This lovely young lady was a dream model. Such a sweet spirit. I shot this at the University of New Mexico on a lovely September day. Email me today to schedule yours!
